What does it take to photograph adventures in some of the scariest places on the planet? Sleat resident and pro-photographer Dan Milner knows all too well, and he’ll be sharing anecdotes and images from the last 30 years of such scary assignments, from riding bikes though Iraqi minefields to camping among polar bears.
Anyone who has browsed the pages of outdoor sports mags over the years will know Dan as the name behind countless bike and snow assignments in sketchy-sounding places.
Whether mountain biking in Iraq, Russia, Rwanda or North Korea, or shooting snowboard expeditions among the glaciers of Greenland, Pakistan, Svalbard and Alaska (often accompanying the legend Jeremy Jones on his splitboard movie projects Deeper and Further), Dan has an appetite for the slightly more ‘out there’ adventures.
