Creative writing workshop with award winning author, Janis Mackay

Come along and write with popular creative writing tutor, Janis Mackay.

In this 2 hour workshop Janis will give prompts to spark short pieces of prose. We will take our inspiration from the places, both ordinary and extra-ordinary, about us. Creative story inspiration can come from many places; indoors and out, from ornaments on a mantlepiece to craggy moutains and hushed wooded glens.

Janis’s latest novel, On a Northern Shore, is strongly influenced by a sense of place, in particular the windswept coast of Caithness where Janis lived for five years.

This workshop is suitable for all; those wishing to try their hand at fiction, and those already well penned in creative writing.

It will be fun, relaxed and hopefully will help the creative juices flow!

Workshop fee £15/£12. Bring notepad, pens and a little enthusiasm!
