‘Taigh’ in Gaelic, ‘Tŷ’ in Welsh and ‘Teach’ in Irish – three words, one meaning: House.
The centre of our world, it’s a place for family, for gathering, for music. A place for mourning and for celebration. But it’s also a place under threat, with second home ownership, rising rents and the lack of affordable housing impacting our communities and our languages.

Taigh Tŷ Teach is a major, tri-lingual co-production of a new site-specific work written by Mairi Morrison in Scotland, Eva O’ Connor in Ireland and Mared Llywelyn Williams in Wales. Performed in Gaelic, Irish and Welsh, with English subtitles.
